The Open Space: Supporting Community Wellbeing

We’re delighted to introduce The Open Space, a new community wellbeing initiative supporting connection, creativity and a sense of belonging. The Open Space offers a relaxed, inclusive environment where people can come together, meet others, take part in gentle activities, or simply spend time in a welcoming space. Everyone is welcome, and no experience is needed.

What’s on offer

These sessions focus on gentle outdoor activities, including gardening, building, connecting with others or simply enjoying time in nature. Designed to be low‑pressure and supportive, participants can join in as much or as little as they like.

Connect & Create Sessions
🎨 Tuesdays | 2.00pm – 4.30pm (starting 21 April)
These sessions provide a relaxed creative space, held indoors or outdoors depending on the activity and weather. They offer an opportunity to connect with others and take part in creative activities in a friendly, informal setting.

All sessions are drop‑in and open to everyone.

Why The Open Space matters

Supporting wellbeing at a community level helps strengthen connections, reduce isolation and create inclusive spaces where people feel valued and supported. The Open Space is about bringing people together, building relationships and creating opportunities for shared experiences that support positive wellbeing for all.

With thanks

We are incredibly grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund for funding this project. Thanks to National Lottery players, we are able to offer this welcoming space and support wellbeing through community‑led, accessible activities.
