Counselling Support, and I am an adult

Adult Counselling

We provide one-to-one counselling support for adults who are suffering with stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, or low mood. We listen in a non judgemental way, providing a safe and confidential place to talk.

By helping you explore your emotions and feelings, counselling enables you to understand your own, and other peoples’ behaviour. Our counsellors help you with coping skills to deal with life events, stresses and daily challenges.

Each session provides an opportunity to talk confidentially on a one to one basis. Our Counsellors work and are supervised in accordance with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Code of Ethics & Standards.

On line or in person

Our one-to-one counselling services are currently offered via Zoom, MS Teams or face to face (in person, held at our premises in Trowbridge).

Our adult counselling is accessible to anyone in Wiltshire, and our counselling team will discuss your needs with you, and arrange for an initial assessment. We charge £20 for your initial assessment.

We ask for a £40 contribution per session for our adult counselling. This contribution goes towards running adult counselling sessions. Our charity pays the remainder of the cost.

Are you on low income or worried about the cost?

If you are on low income or worried about the cost, please choose the ‘low income’ option on the self referral form. We ask for a £20 contribution per session for our low cost option.

We are very grateful to our grant funders, who continue to support our counselling service.

Your views Can Shape Better Wellbeing Services – Take our short Survey

Wiltshire Mind, with the support of Corsham Gymnastics Academy and funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, is exploring how best to develop and offer wellbeing services that truly reflect the needs of people in our local communities.

We’d really value your views.

Whether you’ve taken part in wellbeing activities before, thought about it, or never accessed them at all, your views really matter. This short, anonymous poll takes just a couple of minutes to complete and will help us shape future wellbeing support across Wiltshire.

All responses are anonymous and will be used to guide the design of inclusive, accessible, and meaningful wellbeing opportunities for everyone.

Thank you for helping us build a stronger, more connected community where wellbeing is at the heart of what we do.
