Volunteer for us

Volunteers are an essential part of our charity and we couldn’t operate without their dedication and hard work.

Volunteering boosts your wellbeing, skills, and CV, while supporting your community. We value diversity and welcome all, especially those with lived experience. Some roles require DBS checks.

Counselling Volunteers (Adult Service)

Counsellor placements available for trainees and qualified counsellors, requiring a minimum of three weekly sessions for up to one year, typically in Trowbridge. BACP membership, fortnightly group supervision, and management support provided. DBS check required.

Support Group Volunteers

Volunteer to support our weekly mental health support groups, assisting facilitators in creating a safe space. No experience needed, just willingness to participate. Lived experience welcome. One session per week minimum, plus monthly group supervision. DBS check required.

We are currently recruiting for support group volunteers at the below groups. Please contact supportgroups@wiltshiremind.co.uk for further information and an application form.

Fundraising Volunteers

We are keen to hear from anyone who can give regular time to help us in our fundraising activities. There are various roles available depending on your availability, ranging from a few hours per month to attend charity tin collections or supporting at an occasional event, through to a few hours per week to be part of a fundraising committee who plan and co-ordinate events in your local town.

If you are interested in finding out how you could help us, please contact Fundraising@wiltshiremind.co.uk

Trustees

Wiltshire Mind’s volunteer Trustees lead the charity, meeting monthly and supporting staff. We seek diverse, skilled individuals, including those with lived experience of mental health, to enhance our board. We encourage applications from underrepresented groups. Roles require a DBS check.
