Melksham Friends Take on European Rally for Wiltshire Mind

We would like to say a huge thank you to a fantastic group of Melksham supporters who are going the extra mile, quite literally – to raise funds for Wiltshire Mind.

This summer, Team Dark Ducks -Amy Fletcher, Roger Fletcher, Debbie Marchant and Kev Payne – will be taking part in the Two Ball Banger Rally, driving from the UK to Barcelona over five days from 15 July.

Their vehicle, a donated Rover 45, has been lovingly transformed into the now-famous “Duck Mobile,” covered in rubber ducks and decorations thanks to the creativity and generosity of the local community.

The rally is not about speed, but about teamwork, resilience and adventure, as participants navigate routes through the Alps, the Pyrenees and along the French Riviera.

Team Dark Ducks are aiming to raise £800 for Wiltshire Mind, helping us continue to provide vital mental health support services across the county.

We are incredibly grateful not only for their enthusiasm and commitment, but also for the support they have already generated locally, from fundraising efforts at community events to the many people who have donated and followed their journey.

The team’s creativity, energy and willingness to take on this challenge means so much to us—especially at a time when support for mental health services is more important than ever.

We wish Team Dark Ducks the very best of luck on their adventure and look forward to following their journey across Europe.

Thank you once again for making a difference.
