- Encourage mindfulness and relaxation
- Promote physical activity and fresh air
- Foster a sense of purpose and achievement
Whether you are planting, tending to crops, or simply enjoying the beauty of the surroundings, gardening offers a calming and restorative experience for the mind and body.
What to Expect
🌱 A Beautiful Natural Setting: The garden, kindly provided by Greatwood Charity in Marlborough, is surrounded by rolling countryside and home to a polytunnel, pond, and thriving vegetable and fruit crops.
🐴 Meet the Animals: As part of the experience, you may see Greatwood’s friendly horses, chickens, goats, peacocks, and more, making every visit unique and enriching.
☕ A Warm Welcome: Each session begins with a cuppa and a chat, creating a relaxed and supportive environment.
🛠 Hands-On Gardening: Choose what you would like to do—planting, watering, weeding, or helping with general upkeep. Tools and gloves are provided, and an expert gardener is always on hand to offer guidance.
🚶 A Peaceful Walk to the Garden: We meet at the Greatwood reception office at 10:30 AM, then take a short walk together to the garden.
